1. On p. 5, Naomi says that she had “…mulled over…” her sorry condition at school.
a. What does “mulled over” mean in this sentence?
b. Look up mulled in the dictionary. What other meaning does it have when it is used to describe wine? How are the two meanings alike?

Hey guys - it was great to meet you all today! I enjoyed talking with you all about Island of the Blue Dolphins. It was fun that my version has pictures, so we can see different parts of the story to help us visualize Karana and the island setting. I'm glad you had the globe so that we could find the general location of the real island.
I'll post some more later, but in the meantime, you can finish the book and we will continue our discussion on the second half next week
